Introduction to our event!
Dundee and Angus College is organising an esports event (Dundee Winter Slam) for students in high schools. In the Dundee area. This event will showcase the course to younger students that are wanting to go onto college and do this course!
Dundee Winter Slam invites high school students to the Gardyne Campus. The heart of gaming innovation. To experience a world class esports event with cutting-edge facilities to compete in our rocket league and Overwatch event.
Online qualifiers will be played on the 23rd of November, finals will take place on Friday the 29th of November. The players will be in the two tournament rooms on the top floor. While the rest of the students and teachers will be in a lecture theatre watching the twitch stream. The event will officially start at 10 am and will end at 5 pm if not before.
The event is sponsored by Corsair who will provide all our prizes for the winners and will be featured in all our marketing.
We are targeting our event to high school students in years 5 and 6 who have interest in esports. This helps reinforce our aim for the event as it could potentially lead students into wanting to follow Esports as a passion and a professional occupation which would help Scottish Esports fully taking root. We are also targeting people around Scotland, who want to hire our venue by bringing in industry experts to showcase the facilities.
