Who are we?
Welcome! If you’re unsure who we are then you’re at the right place. The D&A Dragons are a collegiate Esports team centred at Dundee and Angus College formed from the students attending one of our 3 different campuses. We’re all about bringing together Gamers who love to compete and have fun. Whether you’re a pro or just getting started. We participate in various Esports tournaments and events, honing our skills while building friendships and connections along the way. So, if you’re looking for a chill place to game and grow, come hang out with us and be part of our journey!
Our Facilities
As of 2023, we officially announced and showcased our Esports facility over at the Dundee and Angus Gardyne campus, and it’s something we’re really excited about! The facility includes our main 10-PC tournament suite, where we host competitive events that bring out the best in our players. There’s also a smaller 6-PC gaming suite for more casual practice sessions or small team gatherings. Our broadcasting and production suite features a great window view of the tournament suite, allowing us to capture all the action as it unfolds. Plus, we have a smaller production suite dedicated to video editing, content creation, and interviewing, making it the perfect space for our members to share their experiences and showcase their skills. This new facility not only enhances our gaming experience but also strengthens our community by providing a place for collaboration, creativity, and growth. We can’t wait to see what amazing things we’ll accomplish together!
Tournaments
As you might expect from an Esports team, the D&A Dragons have kept themselves busy getting involved in BFS (Battle for Scotland) 2023/2024, and we’re diving right back in for 2024/2025! We’re also excited to participate in NSE (National Student Esports) 2024/2025 and the SSC (Scottish College Cup) 2024/2025, which gives our players a chance to showcase their skills. Beyond these competitions, we’re always on the lookout for new opportunities to challenge ourselves and grow as a team, so stay tuned for even more events and collaborations coming your way. Our goal is not just to compete, but to create unforgettable experiences and foster a sense of community among our members. Whether you’re playing, cheering us on, or just interested in learning more about Esports, there’s a place for you in the D&A Dragons.
Game Titles & Rosters
Now, what would an Esports team be without games to play and rosters of players? The D&A Dragons currently participate in a total of 7 game titles, each offering unique challenges and opportunities for our players to shine!
These games are:
- League of Legends: A strategic team-based game where our players showcase their tactical skills and coordination.
- Valorant: A blend of tactical shooting and hero abilities, requiring sharp reflexes and teamwork.
- Counter Strike 2: A classic in the Esports world, emphasising precision and strategy in fast-paced matches.
- Overwatch 2: A vibrant team shooter that lets our players express their creativity through diverse heroes and strategies.
- Rocket League: Combining soccer with rocket-powered cars, this game tests our players’ aerial skills and quick thinking.
- Rainbow Six Siege: A tactical shooter focused on strategy and communication, perfect for our team players.
- Apex Legends: A battle royal game that emphasises teamwork and adaptability in ever-changing environments.
