How does FC Pro 26 work this year?
FC Pro Open Ladder
The first stage of getting into competition is to do the Open Ladder which takes place between September 22nd to October 1st, 2025. To compete you will first have to make it to division 4 in division rivals on PS5 or Xbox. You will then play matches to earn points to climb up the rankings. Only PS5 players can continue to the Regional Qualifiers however both Xbox and PS5 players will get in-game rewards for playing.
FC Pro Open Regional Qualifier
The regional qualifier stage will be taking place between October 11th – October 12th. The top PS5 players from each different region ladders get into the regional qualifier. The format is first the Swiss stage which is where everyone plays a lot of rounds but not everyone plays everyone. Each round, you’re paired with someone who has a similar record. You play until you either earn enough wins to qualify or lose too many times and get eliminated. It then moves onto the double elimination bracket where if you lose twice, you will be out of the competition. Only a set number of winners from each region will qualify for the Global Qualifiers.
Global Qualifiers
The Global Qualifiers will take place from October 31 to November 2, 2025, at DreamHack Atlanta. Players who reach this round will have their travel costs covered by EA. There is also the “Last Chance Qualifier” this happens just before the Global Qualifier. This is open to players who didn’t qualify through their Regional Qualifier. A few winners from this event will advance to the Global Qualifiers. The format for Global Qualifiers is an open bracket of 256 players. This then gets knocked down to the Swiss stage and then it proceeds to a Knockout stage. Then after that the Top finishers qualify for the FC Pro Open.

At the end of the groups 1st place get straight to top 8 + a world championship spot to compete for the major prizes. 2nd and 3rd place go to the Open Finals (playoffs). The 4th-place team earns an invitation to next year’s Global Qualifiers, while the 5th- and 6th-place teams must start over next season.
World Championship
